Where Have I Been?? What's Poppin'??

Hello all! It's been about a month since I last posted, but I wanted to give an update on what I've been up to these last couple weeks! Firstly, it's finals week currently and I am elbow deep in my illustration projects. So what am I working on?

For my anatomy and rendering class with the amazing Mike Wimmer, I'm creating a magazine illustration with a creature, character, and assets! The project is called COZMIK and the piece itself is about a ballerina who gets into an accident and has to get a cybernetic enhancement if she wants to keep dancing. Then, she notices that she's getting more attention after her surgery, and so she slowly descends into greed, consumerism, and an almost 'plastic surgery' obsession, though instead of lip filler it's new legs.

In my business and career strategies class with Brian Bowes, I'm creating a portfolio piece that is essentially going to be a character page for a bodega shop owner. It will have a turn around, expression sheet, and hero pose. Maybe I'll make him into an animal hybrid?

Finally, for my pro-portfolio class with Mohammed Danawi, I'm creating another portfolio piece, this one is also on asset development, but it's for a post-apocalytpic children's room. I'll also draw a top-down view of the room itself as well as a hero pose for the actual character who lives in the space.

Outside of classes I'm working on a comic book! Can't say a darn thing about it though because the NDA has been signed and sealed...so just stay tuned for that. Applying for internships has also been taking up my time, who knew it could be so stressful, but exciting! Hopefully I don't fall into the pit of despair from getting no responses...but we're just gonna lock in and hope for the best.
